How It Works
Whether you walk, bike, drive, or take public transportation in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, we want to know about it. The ETC Institute, commissioned by the Texas Department of Transportation, will use this valuable data to improve your community — plus, you’ll receive a Visa gift card for participating.

We understand you’re busy, so this isn’t a long, drawn-out survey. You’ll choose a travel date, then spend 24 hours recording your household's travel modes and destinations via the most convenient option for you:
-
Online
-
On our app
-
Over the phone
Approximately a week after submitting your survey, you’ll receive an email with your incentive link voucher which you can redeem for dozens of gift card options, including a Visa card option.

Why Are Household Travel Surveys Important?
You know that one street on your way to work that’s always clogged with traffic? How about that intersection where you really could use a crosswalk when you’re on a walk? Travel surveys provide important data to city organizations that can improve how you get around and make better use of your tax dollars.
Municipalities nationwide conduct household travel surveys for enhanced city planning and happier travelers!
